Itinerary

All students will engage in a photo journey to capture the rich culture of Cuba.  In addition, student artist will select a track to focus, collaborate, and practice their art form from the genres of dance, music or mixed media with local artist.

Day 1: Arrive in Havana, Cuba.  

- Welcome Reception & Artist Meet-up

- Orientation Briefing & Survival Spanish

- Walking tour of Old Havana & Cultural Intro, - Dinner with Artist

 

Day 2: Havana & Guanabacoa

- Exploring the Culture and African Latino Diaspora of Cuba

- Classic Cars, Sea Walls and Lunch

-  Master Classes for Student Artist:  Dance, Music or Art/Mixed Media

Day 3: Havana –  Vinales

- A look at the country side, caves and rural aspects of Cuba

- Master Classes for Artist:  Dance, Music or Art/Mixed Media

Day 4: Havana 

- Museum and association visits to support Master Classes

Master Classes for Artist:  Dance, Music or Art/Mixed Media

Day 5: Havana – Cienfuegos

You will visit: 

- Historical sites such as the “Bay of Pigs

- Town Square 

-  Castillo de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles de Jagua.

Master Classes for Artist:  Dance, Music or Painting

Day 6: Cienfuegos/Trinidad de Cuba

This highlights the music and dance of the African diaspora

Day 7: Cienfuegos, Santa Clara & Havana

You will also visit: 

- Town of Santa Clara.

- The Che Guevera Mausoleum and Monument

- Travel to Havana

Day 8: Depart for Home
