African Games

The game Mancala is one of the world’s oldest and most loved games. A mancala is made up of two rows of six holes. This week I learned that it actually originated in ancient Egypt. The game travelled from Egypt to other parts of Africa then it also reached the Middle East. We actually made our own Mancala games this week using egg cartons so that was pretty cool.
